Trepidations but I ask for own #learning: Why does fmt require casting ptr to void*? I assume there are technical reasons (or it wouldn't be required) which I'm just failing to see. Are there links where I can learn more? 🙏🏽
BTW I dabbled a bit to *convince myself* that arbitrary ptr types can be recognized without casting in client code:

A friend has stage 4 pancreatic cancer, because stuff hurt but she was too poor (and had too much prior medical debt from being poor to feel like she had access to care)
My sibling in law has a canker sore that's probably infected. But urgent care was over capacity (so they just put a sign on the front desk saying closed), and all the other urgent cares in the area were closed. At 6pm.
